Subperiosteal Dental Implants
If you have insufficient bone density, we can recommend the use of subperiosteal implants. These implants are not placed directly on your jawbone but below the gumline and on top of your bone. They are made up of a metal frame anchored on your jawbone using small posts that will protrude through your gumline to offer adequate support to your prosthetic teeth.
Zygomatic Implants
Zygomatic implants are the ideal solution for you if you have severe bone loss, especially on your upper jaw. These implants are not anchored on your jawbone but on the zygomatic bones, also known as cheekbones, to offer support on dentures or bridges. These implants are placed on your cheekbones, making them suitable if you have missing teeth on your upper dental arch. You can consider subperiosteal implants or bone grafts if your lower jaw has insufficient bone mass.
